Frequently Asked Questions about Permanent Makeup:

• WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?  Permanent makeup is a safe and natural-looking alternative to the expense and daily routine of applying makeup every day. It is a skilled technique of permanently applying makeup via intra dermal micropigmentation (tattoo). Properly applied by an experienced technician, permanent makeup will be more natural and realistic in appearance as compared to conventional cosmetics.
• IS IT SAFE?  YES. Suzy Courcy, CME, CPCI, is a trained professional in the medical field. She utilizes 100% sterile single-use disposable needles for each procedure. Her method of permanent cosmetic application  is controlled, gentle and safe as she is also a certified Permanent Cosmetics Instructor and strictly follows all prescribed governmental standards of sterilization and sanitization.
• DOES IT HURT?  Very little, if any, discomfort is experience during the procedure. In fact, a great majority of clients describe the procedure as a “tickling” feeling. The topical anesthetic used is of superior grade and is extremely effective.
• HOW MANY APPLICATIONS ARE NEEDED?  Generally, two applications are needed to achieve full satisfaction with your desired look. However, many clients look great with just one application. If a second application is desired, it is schedule approximately 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure… free of charge.
• HOW LONG DOES A PROCEDURE TAKE?  Including the consultation, paperwork, and numbing time the average length of time for one procedure is 1-1/2 hours. The second application is usually 30 minutes or less.
• CAN I CHOOSE MY OWN COLORS?  Absolutely! Nothing is done without your approval. Colors and shades can be blended to match your favorite pencils. We strongly recommend natural shades, but the final choice is yours.
• HOW LONG DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?  A permanent cosmetic enhancement can last anywhere from 3 to 15+ years, although with each year the color will gradually soften. The degree in this process varies from person to person depending on their lifestyle (ex: sun exposure, facial products used, body chemistry etc.) Touch-ups are recommended for those who wish to keep their permanent makeup as fresh and vibrant looking as possible. Pricing on touch-ups for procedures done elsewhere are at a slightly reduced rate and individually assessed during your consultation. We never quote prices over the phone unless they are new procedures or previous clients requesting a touch-up. Touch-up prices for previous clients of Suzys' range anywhere from (but never exceed) $50.00 to $250.00, if of course, they haven’t had work done elsewhere from the time of their last procedure.
